Sapphire is a precious Gemstone variety of corundum, most famously known for its deep blue colour, though it can occur in many hues except red (which is classified as ruby).

Traditionally, sapphire represents wisdom, royalty, loyalty, and divine favour. It has often been called the "stone of wisdom" or "stone of destiny", symbolizing mental clarity, truth and faith.  Historically sapphires were favoured by Royalty and Clergy, who believed the stone protected against envy and harm while attracting blessing.

As each Gemstone is naturally unique, slight variations in texture, colour, size, and shape are to be expected. We carefully hand-select a gemstone that closely resembles the one pictured; however, the item you receive will not be the exact gemstone show in the photographs.
